History

Since its beginning, The Complex has been artist led and committed to transforming vacant spaces into centres of professional arts practice, breathing creativity into the community. From 2009, it has enjoyed a nomadic existence, creating bases in several sites in the north west inner city including in 2015, The Complex found a home in Little Green Street, Dublin 7. The former fruit factory aesthetic created an ideal setting for the main theatre/ exhibition space, nine artist’s studios and a contemporary space, which hosted the Ground Floor Gallery for emerging artists. Since September 2019 The Complex opened its doors on 21- 25 Arran Street East with 22 Artist studios and Gallery.2
