David Stephenson is an Irish photographer and filmmaker from Dublin. He has been commissioned by the Aid agencies, Trocaire and Self Help International and the Irish fair-trade coffee company, Java Republic, to photograph in Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Zambia, Kenya, Kosovo, Rwanda, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. His work has been published in local, national and international newspapers, as well as magazines and art journals. His recent documentary ‘Raymond’ and had won two best documentary awards at the Fastnet Festival, Cork in 2016 and Belfast Film Festival 2017. It will be touring numerous other festivals but it will be at Cork Film Festival in November 2017. Images of the subject ‘Raymond’ have been published widely and won first prize at the Lexicon Dun Laoghaire. 1 Stephenson’s work can be found in the DLRC Country Council collection, and the Civic Centre, Tallaght, Dublin.2
