Thomas is an artist and filmmaker from Dublin Ireland.
He holds an MA in Film (Philosophy & Aesthetics) from the Uni of Kent, Paris Campus, and a First Class honours BA in Film Production from the Uni of Wolverhampton (completed through Colaiste Dhulaigh, Dublin)
His work is concerned with elements of a phenomenological and ontological nature. His work tends to experiment formally, with the elements of his chosen medium, to create representations of the subjectivity of the narrator/protagonist and their relation to their experienced reality. His interest lies in exploring the existential and psychological foundations of what it is to ‘be’ human
His writing explores the human condition in the hyper-modern era and his interests lie in investigating how technological progress effects and shapes modern man
His work, to date, has been selected to screen at a variety of festivals, including: Visions Du Reel, London International Doc Fest, Docs Ireland, Galway Film Fleadh
He also writes for theater and is a published poet.
