A Belfast-born photographer and AHRC Northern Bridge PhD Researcher at Ulster University, Philip Arneill studied and worked in Scotland, Egypt and Japan. Co-creator and photographer of the audio-visual documentary project ‘Tokyo Jazz Joints’, Arneill’s work explores the illusory ideas of home and culture by exploring insider-outsider dynamics, interstitial spaces and autoethnographic issues of place and identity. 1
