Mother’s Tankstation Limited

Founded  2006
Location 41- 43 Watling Street, Usher’s Island, Dublin 8, D08 NP48, Ireland

Established in Dublin, 2006, mother’s tankstation privileges the development of emerging and complex practices, presented within frameworks of criticality and polemics. In addition to the Dublin base, mother’s opened a London space in 2017, which has established itself in the busy gallery district of the East End. The combined programme includes nine+ exhibitions annually, through which a growing number of represented artists have been introduced to international attention. A further presence is constructed through international shows, concentrating on Art Basel, Basel and Hong Kong, and Frieze London. Pre-COVID it has hosted CONDO London three times and participated in ‘boutique’ events globally. Curated presentations at fairs are approached with correspondent rigor to gallery exhibitions and structured on a mixture of solo exhibitions and ‘practice’ conversations. The gallery prioritises text and dialogue as important negotiators of artistic ideas and is conscious of our website as a research facility and a complete historical archive.1
