This is the catalogue of the 1989 exhibition ‘Captured Light’, shown at the Guinness Hop Store in Dublin. The exhibition showed the work of 28 photographers – 12 of whom were invited photographers and 11 of whom were open submission photographers, with the remainder being made up by the Contemporary Irish Photography committee.

About the Publisher
Contemporary Irish Photography was founded in 1985 by a group of independent Irish photographers with a view to exhibiting the best in creative Irish photography on a biennial basis. It also sought to encourage the development of new, previously unexhibited photographers, as well as a broader appreciation of photography as a serious art form.
