This issue of Source magazine contains writing on the work of Mary McIntyre, Christian Boltanski and Eve Arnold as well as a piece on Steve Pyke written by Carlo Gébler. This issue marks a change in direction for Source in its fresh formatting, with the first half of the magazine being taken up with a ‘portfolio’ section where photographers have their work displayed without comment or writing. It also has fewer advertisements than ever before and its featured cover photograph taken by Frankie Quinn takes up the whole page leaving no black border as seen in previous issues – a once-off design change not to be seen again.
