Julie Corcoran is a conceptual photographer based in rural Cavan.

Julie gained her LIPF Distinction in 2015 with the Irish Photographic Federation, progressing to an AIPF Distinction in 2017. She gained her AFIAP with the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) in 2019.She has worked on numerous projects including a Cross Border Peace IV photographic exhibition, ‘Peaceful Photography’ and regularly gives talks on her work both nationally and internationally. Most recently with the John Cornicello Photo conversations series.Julie published her first book, ‘Time’ with poetry by Fidel Hogan Walsh and introduction by Brooke Shaden in September 2020 on Culture Night with support from Cavan County Council through Cavan Arts Office.Julie’s work was exhibited as part of ‘Arts Unlocked: Imagine Together’ and ‘Solo Ensemble’ exhibitions at Hambly & Hambly, Enniskillen in 2020 and participated in ‘Culture by Candlelight’ with Fermanagh Omagh Arts Office on Culture Night September 2020. In December 2020 Julie’s piece, ‘Crucible of the Heart’ was a winner of the Hambly & Hambly Enlighten Award.

Currently you can find Julie’s Limited Edition prints in ArtisAnn Gallery, Belfast and Hambly & Hambly, Enniskillen and Sol Art Gallery, Dublin.

Julie has an upcoming exhibition, ‘Time’ with Solas Gallery, Ballinamore, Leitrim in October 2021.
