Hyper American is a collection of curated images selected to resemble the hyperactive simulation of reality we’ve come to associate with the American cinematic aesthetic. This collection celebrates the supremacy of regional representation and how we can invent cinematic associations with a world culture. 1

About the Artist

Bryan Hogan is an amateur photographer for Dublin who has been practicing for the past eight years. Bryan has self published two photo-books. His first, Hyper American, is a meditation on the hyperactive cinematic aesthetic of the American landscape. His second, From Where The Heart Is, is a collaboration with many artists reconceptualising the lens we view modern living spaces and suburbs in an Irish and international context. Bryan graduated with a PhD in Chemistry in 2015 and works professionally as a scientist in Dublin. 2
