“One of my favourite poems is Patrick Kavanagh’s Epic. It is a reminder always of the importance of place, of the local, of home. For Padraig O’Flannabhra “… the Place” is his beloved hometown, Nenagh.”
His book is a template of what could be replicated for every town and village, for every community, while also illustrating what is unique to Nenagh, its soul, its personality and character. It is a celebration of home, of the town he loves so well.
